End of July

Here are a couple of random pictures from the last couple of weeks:

Grandpa, Jeffrey and Laird and I took in the circus lately. I thought the tigers were overhyped, but the motorcyles in the cage of death were pretty neat.

Laird gets ready for the circus by putting on Grandpa's boots.

Happy Fourth of July!

It was once again a very wet 4th of July here in Houston. We held our own mini-parade with Jeffrey's go-cart and Laird's tricycle (which he has abandoned in the picture). A great day to celebrate America and being American!

Monroe Spotting

Monroes once again descended on Houston. They love to fly, and it shows.

Grandma Monroe remembers what it was like to have young ones. Laird listens to story time on his "big boy" bed.

Grandpa Monroe and his assistant Jeffrey paint another room.

Aunt Charity and one of her favorite nephews.

Teenagers Greg and Kimberly stopped fighting long enough to take this picture.

Summer time in Summerwood

It is summer in Texas. Which means it is hot and rainy. When it hasn't been raining, Jeffrey and Laird have been in and around water. Below, Jeffrey and Laird in the sprinklers in front of one of our garden boxes.

Jeffrey in swimming lessons with a kickboard (he can swim without the kickboard too - it's just a better picture with it.

Jeffrey and Laird convert the sandbox to a mini-swimming pool. The play set provides some shade. Bartok the turtle's house is also visible in the background.
